If you want to use the Jeep Wrangler to transport guests that travel in high priced suits and dresses you have chosen the wrong vehicle.  The Wrangler has never been about style or class but has always been about simple off road prowess that you can’t get anywhere else.  The Wrangler of 2016 still carries the same dimensions as the one from 1941 that served in World War II.  Both have live axles, spare tire mounted at the rear and similar proportions.  The seven slot grill and round eye headlights offer the look we still love today but there may be something more you can learn or confirm about this amazing vehicle that is celebrating 75 years in existence.

Confidence – We have all heard the saying “can you backup what you say” which simply means if you make a claim of any sort you need to be able to support it.  The Jeep Wrangler is a confident vehicle that can go anywhere it wants to.  The massive iron beams in the front and rear help to make this possible along with the ground clearance and four-wheel drive of this awesome machine that has been through it all and still comes out showing off why it’s the best.

Engine – Have you heard of the Chrysler Pentastar V6 engine?  If not you should have, this engine is amazing.  At 3.6-liter this engine is used in a variety of ways across the FCA lineup to be found in the Dodge Charger and Ram pickups along with the Jeep Wrangler.  In this version it offers up 285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque to be one of the smoothest running engines you can find with this set up on the market today.  We love this engine and think you will too when you drive the Jeep Wrangler.

Transmission – The engine that carries all the clout we can find is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission in a world where six to eight speed transmissions are the norm.  As much as we could find ways to like this transmission it simply doesn’t quite do the job of actually being a transmission worthy of the engine it mated to.  When you go to the dealership for your Jeep Wrangler you are better off asking for the six-speed manual transmission which will give you more control and one more gear to make all the difference in your driving.

Hushed  – The stories are true that with the doors and top off the Wrangler is a loud vehicle.  that seems to be a huge no-brainer, but when all parts are intact this is a vehicle that is fairly quiet.  It’s not the most silent cabin to ride in, but you can at least have a conversation and that can’t be said for all vehicles that stand up this vertical.  You can easily admire the fact the Wrangler is easy to enjoy on the road as you sing along to your favorite song because its reasonably quiet on the inside.

Rubbery – Let’s get something straight, this is not an on road vehicle.  If you fool yourself into thinking you can enjoy the Wrangler for commuting and as a daily driver, unless you work outdoors in the wilderness on a daily basis you will be severely disappointed.  This SUV is made to be outdoors and in the off road territory which leaves the on road driving to feel rubbery and not engaged at all.  Don’t let that dissuade you, just be sure you understand fully what this vehicle is really meant for and you don’t place some off the wall expectations upon it.

Everywhere – Have you ever noticed that when you purchase or test drive a vehicle you suddenly notice all of the same model on the road?  The Wrangler is everywhere.  You will find this SUV being driven in every city and town in America and certainly on many of the trails as well.  This is a vehicle that offers a true look at what America is built on, ruggedness, a willingness to overcome obstacles and a bit of a brash and bold exterior.  The Wrangler is a vehicle that represents itself extremely well and has a nearly cult following all over the country.
